Past Projects

SIP Project

At a base, my prototype is a program run through AWS using a device called Deeplens. As of now my program can determine if there is a Rifle in the frame by a slider in the top left corner. If there is not a rifle in frame the slider will indicate no gun with a red bar.

Throughout the completion of my prototype, I had a large sum of down and a few very big ups. My original idea was to create a program that would be able to identify and track weapons that come into frame. After my second presentation to my professors, they gave me the idea to innovate a program using the AWS Deeplens device. After some thorough research and some time to save up the money I was able to purchase the Deeplens device. After many weeks of working on my SIP project I was able to get my Deeplens device to recognize an assault rifle that comes into frame. Throughout this process I have learned a lot about AWS and the code that makes different functions work within the Deeplens.
